1950's O'Mahony Diner for sale

This outstanding example of an O'Mahony Diner (considered the Cadillac of Diners) recently arrived from it's long time home in Jim Thorpe, Pa. This particular O'Mahony has a serial number of 2209 and was built in 1952. The diner measures 49 foot long by 16 1/2 foot wide. It has a Front entrance, a side door and a kitchen side door. It also has both men and ladies rest rooms. The counters each measure approximately 18 foot with 9 stools per counter. There are 6 booths along the front wall for a total seating capacity of 42.

The initial inspection and organization of the restoration has begun. The roof is very solid and no signs of leakage in part because O'Mahony's made the best roofs in the business and offered lifetime warranties on their roofs. The frame is equally nice with no signs a structural fatigue. The diner will require a MAJOR cleaning as it has 50 plus years of grease that has permeated the inside. The exterior "flex-glass is missing and the slots for the glass were painted blue. A false counter top was placed over the original counter top, probably due to the typical wear of 50 years of service.  Click the pictures below for larger images.
